The Mothers' Milk Bank of North Texas (MMBNT) is a non-profit organization located in southwest Fort Worth, near Benbrook. Founded in 2004, MMBNT provides donor breast milk to premature and seriously ill babies when their own mother's milk is not available. The Central Texas Breastfeeding Coalition is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the health and safety of mothers, infants and families through breastfeeding education, promotion, and collaborative partnerships between public and private organizations. All women interested in breastfeeding can attend meetings or contact leaders for information and support on breastfeeding. Throughout the year, the Central Texas Breastfeeding Coalition hosts events that help promote and support breastfeeding in Central Texas. These events include those during August for National Breastfeeding Month and the Quintessence event in October.
